That's why we've put together a short list of DO's and DON'Ts:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>DON'T :<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>- Wear your jewellery when using chemical or toxic products that could attack the metal of the jewellery.<\/p>\n<p>- Wear your jewellery when you do the housework<\/p>\n<p>- Wear your jewellery by the sea or swimming pool<\/p>\n<p>- Wear your jewellery to sleep<\/p>\n<p>- Wear your jewellery in the shower<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>DO :<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>- Clean your jewellery regularly to prevent it from becoming too dirty<\/p>\n<p>- Keep your jewellery in a jewellery box or protective case when you are not wearing it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips for removing black marks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baking soda or lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Moisten a toothbrush with soft bristles, place a little bicarbonate of soda or lemon juice on it and scrub gently. Rinse thoroughly. You'll notice that the black marks disappear!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Toothpaste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once again, moisten a soft-bristled toothbrush, apply a little toothpaste (just a little), then gently scrub your jewellery. Rinse thoroughly and your jewellery will be as good as new!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cola or white vinegar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fill a bowl with cola or white vinegar.<\/p>\n<p>To use vinegar, leave your jewellery to soak for 1 to 2 hours. Rinse thoroughly to prevent the jewellery from sticking.<\/p>\n<p>For Cola, soak your jewellery overnight.
